Do you offer cleanup/catch-up bookkeeping?

Yes. If you're behind, we'll quote a one-time cleanup and then move you into a monthly package.

Do you file taxes?

We don't file tax returns, but we deliver tax-ready books and can collaborate with your CPA/EA.

Are you a CPA?

No—The Narrow Way Consulting is not a CPA firm. We specialize in bookkeeping and payroll support inside QuickBooks Online.

If you already have a CPA or tax preparer, we’re happy to collaborate with them to make tax time smooth and stress-free.

What’s the difference between a bookkeeper and a CPA?

A bookkeeper focuses on the day-to-day accuracy of your financial records—making sure transactions are categorized properly, accounts are reconciled, and your financial reports are accurate and up to date.

A CPA typically focuses on higher-level tax and advisory work—like filing business tax returns, tax planning strategies, and providing certain types of formal financial reporting.

In short: Bookkeeping keeps your numbers clean and current. A CPA uses those numbers for tax filing and planning. Most small businesses benefit from having both.

What certifications and experience do you have?

Our founder, Charles Bennett, brings 7+ years of corporate payroll and accounting experience supporting a variety of businesses.

He also holds the following credentials: Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Intuit Certified Bookkeeping Professional, and a Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC). This combination of real-world experience and industry certifications helps ensure your books are handled with accuracy, consistency, and best practices in QuickBooks Online.

Where are you located?

We’re based in Costa Mesa, California (Orange County). We work with local businesses throughout Orange County, and we also support clients remotely anywhere in the U.S. using cloud-based tools like QuickBooks Online.

Do you work with businesses outside of Orange County?

Yes. While we’re based in Costa Mesa and love serving local businesses, we also support clients remotely anywhere in the U.S. using secure, cloud-based tools.
